How can I check hotel availability?

Start your search at any time using our "Hotel Search" booking calendar on the left-hand side of the page. Enter your criteria, select "Search & Save" and we will display all available hotels based on their discount level, beginning with the greatest discount to the least amount of discount. After you select a hotel, you will then see a detailed description of the hotel including location, amenities and other details. If you wish to make a reservation, become an MHNSAVES.COM member by clicking Sign Up or if you are a member, make sure to log in and then click on the hotel you would like to stay in. In the hotel that you have selected, pick your room type. This will bring you to the reservation page. MHNSAVES.COM final Discounted rates will be shown here based upon your profile i.e., entering of your AAA® or AARP® membership numbers. You will see your MHNSAVES.COM savings and/or Cash Back Rebate Points immediately following your reservation. Your credit card will not be charged by MHNSAVES.COM for the reservation. Your credit card will be charged by the hotel directly.

When I search for a hotel, I do not get a result of a location where I want to stay..Why is that?

We offer numerous MHNSAVES.COM hotels for almost any location within the USA, so searches that do not produce results are exceedingly rare. If this does occur, please expand or revise your search to display alternatives for you or try our Advanced Search fetaure located in the hotel search box.

When I tried to make my hotel reservation it didn't work? What do I do now?

When this happens, there are two common causes:

  1. You are no longer connected to the Internet. Please check your connection.
  2. The hotel is sold out on your requested dates. In this case, you should see the warning “No Room(s) are available for your selected date(s). Please search for an alternate hotel or date(s)" on that hotels description page. Please select another hotel from your search, or widen your search criteria for more options.

How do I know that the hotel booking went through?

Based upon the email address you have provided at registration (typically the same as your MHNSAVES.COM log-in ID) and stored in your profile, you will receive an e-mail reservation from MHNSAVES.COM shortly after your transaction has been completed. This email will contain all rate, estimated taxes, and room information, as well as all hotel-specific cancellation terms and conditions that apply and other relevant information. If you do not receive an email, make sure to check your Spam or Bulk mail folder, as some email spam filters may not recognize the MHNSAVES.COM system generated reservation email. If you have any other problems receiving your e-mail confirmation after 24 hours has passed, please email support@mhnsaves.com. If your reservation (your expected date of arrival) is less than 24 hours away, please email reservations@mhnsaves.com for immediate assistance.

How can I check rental car availability?

In order to check the availability of rental cars please select the “Cars” tab from the navigation bar located at the top of the MHNSAVES.COM website. By clicking “Cars” you will be brought to the “Rental Car Discounts” search page. Please fill out all known pertinent information regarding your car rental (Pick-up location, Drop-off location, Pick-up Time, Drop-off Time, and Car Type) in the spaces provided. Once you have filled out your car search, please click the “Search & Save” button. All available rental car companies and cars that meet your specifications will be displayed. Drop-offs may be altered based upon the car rental agency’s discretion and/or your criteria. Please select that option when initiating your search by checking that option in the search box.

What rental car companies can I rent from using MHNSAVES.COM?

MHNSAVES.COM allows you to compare rates in all vehicle categories across a wide selection of national and local rental car agencies in your desired location. If you prefer a specific rental car company you may sort by using the filters on the car search results page, click on Refine Search. If you do not have any preference of car rental company you may modify your search parameters by changing your dates and / or pick-up and drop-off location.

I need a specific car type. What should I do?

With MHNSAVES.COM’s rental car search it is easy to find the car you need! MHNSAVES.COM has a lot of options for car type preferences that you may choose. Click on Refine Search in on the upper left hand side of the results. This will display a variety of check boxes for the car type and agency you prefer.

How do I know that my rental car booking went through?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail from MHNSAVES.COM shortly after you have made your reservation. This email confirmation will contain all of your reservation details including dates selected, pick-up and drop-off location, rental company, car type, total rate, cancellation policy and any other terms and conditions that may apply. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, make sure to check your Spam or Bulk mail folder, as some spam filters may not recognize the system generated MHNSAVES.COM email reservation confirmation. I have submitted my reservation form and credit card – what happens now?

Shortly after completing your reservation and providing your payment information, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from MHNSAVES.COM. This e-mail will display all rate and room information, as well as any hotel or car rental agency specific cancellation terms and conditions as applicable. If you do not receive an e-mail confirmation, make sure to check your Spam or Bulk mail folder, as some spam filters may not recognize the system generated MHNSAVES.COM e-mail reservation confirmation.

How can I amend or cancel my Hotel or Car reservation?

If after receiving your e-mail confirmation you wish to make changes to your reservation, please cancel your hotel or car reservation by logging into your MHNSAVES account and selecting My Reservations. This will display all reservations you have made through MHNSAVES. Find the reservation you would like to change and click on Cancel. Afterwards, search and select your new dates.

Please note: When cancelling a reservation, you may not be entitled to a full refund. While MHNSAVES.COM never charges cancellation fees, some hotels or car rental agencies may charge cancellation fees that we are required to pass on. These fees will vary by hotel and may change based on dates of travel or the timing of your cancellation.  It is important to note that any changes to your reservation may impact the MHNSAVES.COM Cash Back Rebate Points offered to you by MHNSAVES.COM for your dates of stay or car rental. Because the rates for MHNSAVES.COM hotels and cars fluctuate based upon availability, our hotels and car rental partners will offer a variety of rate packages. The rate package you select for your stay or rental will include specific cancellation policy provided to you at the time of reservation. These cancellation policies vary by hotel and car rental agency / location. You should always check the rate package cancellation policy prior to making a reservation to ensure that you select the most appropriate rate package for your stay or rental. Note, Advanced Purchase Rates (APR), carry the heaviest penalties for any changes up to the total amount of your reservation as dictated by the hotel.

What is the e-mail reservation confirmation?

The e-mail reservation confirmation is proof of your reservation for that particular travel date(s). Once your reservation is confirmed, MHNSAVES.COM will send you an e-mail confirmation.  We recommend you print a copy of this message for your reference when you travel for your stay in a hotel or car rental pick-up.  Note this reservation number is specific to MHNSAVES reservation system and may not be the same as the hotel or car rental agencies reservation system. When checking-in or picking up a car, refer to your reservation with your last name and dates of stay or rental.

What happens if there is a problem with the hotel when I arrive?

First, speak with the front desk at the hotel. MHNSAVES.COM hotels make every effort to resolve customer concerns and complaints. If you continue to have problems, please contact us via e-mail here. We will do everything possible to resolve your issue immediately.

How can I request an early Check-In or a late Check-Out?

If you have any special requests, please include that when making your reservation. The hotel will do their best to accommodate your needs.

 

 

Payment

Is it safe to use my credit card?

MHNSAVES.COM does not collect any money from you.  Your credit card will only be charged by the hotel or the car rental company you have selected for your reservation.  When you provide your credit card to MHNSAVES.COM, your credit card details are encrypted using 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) security. It will never be shared with unauthorized parties and is secure.

Do I have to send my credit card details online?

Yes. As a web-based platform, MHNSAVES.COM requires you provide payment information through our online reservation form. This information is passed to the travel supplier i.e., the hotel or car rental agency (as needed) through our encrypted network for processing of your reservation and securing your hotel night stay(s) or car rental as required by the travel supplier.

When will my credit card be charged?

It depends on the hotel rate plan you select.   Typically for all Advance Purchase Rates (applies to hotels only), your credit card may be charged for the full amount immediately after you submit the credit card information. In all other cases, your credit card is charged ONLY at the time of Check-Out. Please note that it is a common practice for a hotel to hold the amount of your stay on the credit card until Check-Out.

Can I pay with more than one credit card?

No. MHNSAVES.COM requires that all reservations be made on a single credit card.

Note: If the hotel or car rental agency you select charges you at the conclusion of your stay, you may ask the hotel directly to split the payment. However, this can only be done and negotiated at the hotels discretion upon your arrival.

I don't have a credit card, can I pay cash?

No. Online reservations on MHNSAVES.COM require a valid credit card ONLY (A debit card may not process correctly)in order to hold your room or car rental. An alternative payment method may not be accepted.

All room rates are per room per night, unless specified otherwise. The rates are not applicable during special events and are subject to change without notice. The rate is guaranteed upon reservation. All rates are as per MHNSAVES.COM and/or reservation completed by you.

What are MHNSAVES.COM Cash Back Rebate Points?

MHNSAVES Cash Back Rebates are one of the most unique features of MHNSAVES.COM.  For every room night you stay, car rental you complete, or new membership you refer, we reward you with Cash Back Rebate Points that you redeem for a check.  No strings attached!  One point = $1 USD.

How do I Earn MHNSAVES.COM Cash Back Rebate Points?

There are several ways to Earn:

  1. Reserve room nights through MHNSAVES.COM. For each night you stay at one of our hotels, you will receive one point. It's our way of saying thank you for your loyalty. If you stay 5 nights, we provide you 5 points. Each MHNSAVES.COM Cash Back point is equivalent to One US Dollar.
  2. Rent a car through MHNSAVES.COM. You will receive 2 (two) Cash Back Rebate Points per rental day or an average of about 2%.
  3. Refer a new member to MHNSAVES.COM. If you refer a friend, coworker or family member to MHNSAVES.COM using our special "Refer a Friend" e-mail form, or through our sharing tool to your preferred social networks, you will earn a point for each new member. These forms are available only to existing members in the Membership Area of your profile. You must be logged in and a good standing member to earn, refer or to cash out points.

Note: From time to time MHNSAVES.COM runs special incentive programs and promotions whereas you can get multiple points for your travel and/or referrals.

When can I cash in my points?

Immediately! At MHNSAVES.COM, we allow you to redeem your Cash Back Rebate Points for CASH at any time. In your customer profile on MHNSAVES.COM, you will see your current Cash Back Rebate Points total as well as an option to redeem for cash. After you redeem your points, your MHNSAVES.COM Cash Back Rebate Point balance will be set to zero, and it's time to start working towards your next payout. The total MHNSAVES.COM Cash Back Rebate Points are combined, no matter how you earn them for cash out purposes. Note if your total point balance is below 4.99 MHNSAVES.COM Cash Back Rebate Points, you will be assessed a $3 shipping & handling fee for any cash out action taken in your MHNSAVES.COM account.

Membership almost up? Don't worry! Your MHNSAVES.COM Cash Back Rebate Points carry over to the next year as long as you renew your membership, prior to expiration, with MHNSAVES.COM.

How do I request a Cash Out of my MHNSAVES Cash Back Rebate Points?

It's easy.  Log into your MHNSAVES account by visiting MHNSAVES.COM.  On the top right hand side of the screen click on My Account.  Then on the left side of the screen below the My Account Quick Links, scroll down to My MHNSAVES REWARD POINTS.  In that area you will see a yellow button that says "Cash Out".  Click on it and follow the prompts.  That's it.  Make sure that you have a minimum of five (5) points otherwise there is a $3 shipping and handling charge.  This does not apply to businesses, and or its employees who have contracted MHNSAVES for corporate travel services.  Please refer to your company administrator for details.

Can I apply my MHNSAVES Cash Back Rebate Points to a future stay?

Unfortunately, you cannot use your MHNSAVES Cash Back Rebate Points towards a current or future stay booked through MHNSAVES.  The MHNSAVES Cash Back Rebate Points are only available for Cash Out from your profile.  Points that are eligible for Cash Out are reflected in your profile on the My Account page where it states "Total points".  Note, "Pending Points" are not available for Cash Out.

What are Pending Points in my MHNSAVES REWARD POINTS balance?

Pending Points are accrued until you complete your hotel or car reservation booked thorugh MHNSAVES.COM.  The points are accrued at the time of reservation and will be available for Cash Out, generally 72 hours after your reservation has been completed.  Any referral points of bonus points, typically do not go into pending status.  Only those points awarded relative to a reservation will be placed in Pending Points status.  If 72 hours has passed and you are experiencing any difficulties, please Contact Us.

Please note that Cash Back Rebate Points points are credited to your account once you have utilized your booked service(s). If you still don't see the Cash Back Rebate Points in your account after that time period, please Contact Us. Also note that all of your travel transactions that have not completed will show up in the "Pending" section of your reward points. These will be credited to your account once your hotel stay or car rental has been completed.
